Wasaf-AI Product collects data necessary to authenticate your store, write product copy, and apply the text you choose to publish.

Merchant and store data

• Your Shopify store domain, shop name, shop email, shop owner name, store country, currency, Shopify plan, and Shopify shop identifier
• Your OAuth access token, and staff session details Shopify provides when you use the embedded app (for example name, email, user id, and locale where Shopify supplies them)
• Your app plan, subscription status, billing period, and how many descriptions have been used in that period, including any remaining launch credits
• The description template you save, such as intro, specifications, warranty, shipping, and closing text

Product copy you ask us to write

• The product name, specifications, and tone you enter, plus any revision request and the current draft you ask us to change
• The generated title, description, selling points, meta description, and, on plans that include them, SEO title and keywords
• For bulk writing, the product ids and titles you pick in Shopify, together with the specifications you type for those products

Drafts in the chat and bulk screens stay in your browser session for that tab. We do not keep a separate copy of your product catalog on our servers. Generated text is written to Shopify only when you publish it.

Catalog data read to publish

• Product id and title, when you search for a product or pick products to write for
• The title, description, selling points, and SEO fields you approve, which we write back to that product

What we do not collect

We do not use Wasaf-AI Product to collect customer names, email addresses, mailing addresses, order contents, or payment card data. Payment processing for Shopify checkout and for app billing is handled entirely by Shopify and your payment providers.

We use the data we collect solely to operate Wasaf-AI Product:

• Authenticate your store and keep a secure embedded-app session
• Send the product name, specifications, tone, template text, and revision you provide to our language-model providers so they can return a draft
• Save the description template you choose to reuse
• Count successful descriptions against your plan so the app can show what remains
• Search products by title, and write the copy you approve onto the product title, description, and SEO fields
• Send our team a short operational notice when a store installs or opens the app, so we can support new merchants
• Read your Shopify app subscription so the plan and usage limits stay in sync

Wasaf-AI Product runs in the Shopify admin. It does not add a storefront script and does not send shopper activity back to us.

We do not sell, rent, share, or trade merchant or customer personal data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or unrelated commercial purposes.

Wasaf-AI Product does not send email to your customers. Subscription and receipt emails for app billing are handled by Shopify according to Shopify’s policies.

Support

If you contact us by email, or through the in-app chat, we use your message and contact details only to respond to your request. We do not add you to marketing lists solely because you wrote to support. In-app chat is provided by Crisp. Messages you send there are processed by Crisp to deliver the conversation to us. The chat session can include your shop domain and app plan so we know which store wrote to us.

Application data is stored in PostgreSQL databases on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between clients and our servers
• Secure OAuth and API access through Shopify
• Environment-based management of secrets and credentials
• Database access limited to the application services that require it

We do not store customer payment information. Billing for the app is handled through Shopify. Product titles, descriptions, and SEO fields you publish are stored by Shopify on your products. Chat and bulk drafts saved for the current admin tab stay in the browser’s session storage on your device.

We retain your shop billing record, description template, and sessions for as long as Wasaf-AI Product remains installed and your store remains active in our system. When you uninstall the app, we delete the OAuth sessions for that store. The shop billing record and saved description template are not customer records. Contact us if you want those remaining records deleted. Text you already published stays on the Shopify products until you change or remove it in Shopify. Wasaf-AI Product does not store customer personal data. When Shopify sends a customer redaction request, there are no customer records in our database to delete. Drafts kept in the browser session end when that browser session ends. You may request assistance with deletion or data questions by contacting us at [email protected]

Wasaf-AI Product does not store customer personal data, so a Shopify customer data request or customer redaction has no customer records to return or delete. When you uninstall the app, we delete the OAuth sessions for that store. A later shop-erasure request does not by itself remove the shop billing record or the saved description template; contact us at the address below and we will delete those remaining records.
Where the GDPR applies, merchants remain the data controller for their customers’ personal data. Wasaf-AI Product processes merchant, store, and product-copy data to provide the app. Published product text lives in your Shopify catalog.

Wasaf-AI Product relies on:

• Shopify APIs — to authenticate, read product ids and titles, read your app subscription, and write the product title, description, and SEO fields you approve, within the scopes you grant
• Google Gemini — to generate the Arabic draft from the product name, specifications, tone, template sections, and revision text you submit. If that request fails, the same prompt may be sent to Groq as a fallback. We do not send customer personal data or your full catalog in that prompt
• Cloud hosting — to run the application and databases
• Crisp — to deliver in-app support chat if you open it. That session can include your shop domain and app plan
• Telegram — to deliver an operational install and app-open notice to the Apps Alchemy team. That notice can include store name, domain, owner name, shop email, store country, currency, Shopify plan, and app plan

These providers process data only as needed to host the service, generate the draft you requested, deliver support, or notify our team of new installs.

The embedded Wasaf-AI Product admin experience runs inside Shopify. Session and security cookies follow Shopify’s practices as described in Shopify’s documentation. If you open in-app chat, Crisp may set cookies needed to keep that conversation working inside the embedded app. The chat and bulk screens may store the current draft in your browser’s session storage so you can continue in that tab. That storage is not used to track shoppers.

This standalone policy page does not set marketing cookies or third-party tracking scripts. Wasaf-AI Product does not run on your storefront and does not track shoppers.

As a merchant, you can:

• Edit or clear the description template from the app at any time
• Choose which generated draft to publish, and leave a draft unpublished
• Change or remove published product text in Shopify
• Uninstall Wasaf-AI Product to stop future data processing associated with the app
• Contact us for privacy questions, deletion of remaining shop records, or assistance with data subject requests that involve our records

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will revise the “Last updated” date on this page when we do. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law. We may notify you of material changes through the app or by email when appropriate.
